New York`s M-Lab are giving fans a taste of their 2009 album already with new music now available on MySpace.
The song ‘Leaving You Behind’ is now streaming from the M-Lab MySpace site.The independent band has been together for six years. There original sound was focused around violin as a lead instrument but the new music is more contemporary sounding.
‘Leaving You Behind’ draws once again from the previously utilised Jim Steinman production technics. Singer Drew Brody has a distinctive rock voice which is balanced by the full Broadway feel of the band. With pianist Derek Gregor also sidelining as the composer of the soon for Broadway musical ‘Unlock’d’, M-Lab has multiple reference points for influence.
Fans will have a chance for a first listen for the songs from the new album live when M-Lab perform a one-off show at the Mercury Lounge in New York on November 24.
