Golden Plains has been announced for 2009, with a few surprises and generally a very satisfying list of artists will make their way down to the natural amphitheatre in Meredith, Victoria.
Gary Numan, Mogwai and Brant Bjork and the Bros are all sure to bring a diverse crowd to the festival, while bands like You Am I and The Drones are sure to keep the regulars returning.American bizarre-o tech-nerd Dan Deacon will either send people into a frenzy early in the evening, or should his show be in the wee hours of the morning, destroy the already struggling minds of punters with his noisy table of electronics.
The full line up (so far) is Mogwai, Tony Allen, Gary Numan, Black Mountain, Of Montreal, The Drones, The Church, Dan Deacon, Old Crow Medicine Show, Brant Bjork and the Bros, Jim White and John Doe, Quintron and Miss Pussycat, The Black Seeds, Luluc, You Am I.
The festival will take place at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, Meredith, Victoria, Australia on March 7, 8 and 9, 2009.
Tickets will be on sale via ballot through www.goldenplains.com.au. The ballot will be done in two rounds, once for already registered punters, and once for new punters.
