The millions of dollars spent on marketing behind the AC/DC `Black Ice` certainly worked for accelerating sales in the first week, but sales are dropping everywhere for week two.
In Australia, the album dropped back to number two in the second week and fell to number three in the UK. In Ireland, Black Ice fell to number 4.Pink ousted AC/DC in both Australia and the UK, while Snow Patrol reigned victorious in Ireland.
Australian sales for Black Ice after two weeks and one day tallied 124,207 units.
However, lets all have a round of applause for the real stars of the Australian chart. The quiet achievers Kings of Leon have sold an amazing 162,328 units of ‘Only By The Night’ with the hype machine on low.
