Legendary reggae duo Sly and Robbie have teamed up with Chicago based modern soul tweaker Amp Fiddler to release the first in a series of records known as ‘Information Inspiration’.
Amp Fiddler headed down to Kingston, Jamaica to work with the legendary Riddim Twins in their studio, taking with him simply a couple of ideas and an acoustic guitar.After five days locked up in the studio, the result was the first in the ‘Inspiration Information’ series.
The album will be coming out through Strut Recods, who until now have existed purely as a compilation label (with some pretty sweet compilations to boot!).
There is no word on what’s next in this series, but if this first record is anything to go by, it’s something to keep an eye on.
