Sir Paul McCartney has touched down in the Middle East for his first ever visit to Israel.
The controversial show has become a topic of much debate, with the singer being criticized for entering the region. McCartney said on Israel radio that he was “apolitical” but that hasn’t stopped the pro-Palestinian activists protesting the visit and trying to have the show cancelled.McCartney had never been to Israel before. The country banned The Beatles back the 60s and only recently apologised to McCartney. At the time, the government thought that their music would corrupt Israeli youth.
Sir Paul McCartney will perform for the very first time in Israel tonight (September 25).
