The next Muse album could be a concept record. Frontman Matt Bellamy told England's Q magazine that the next record is already in his head and that he is thinking it will be a Pink Floyd kind of thing.
"It will be a full blown concept-album" he said. "It 'll be a dark side of the moon-type album. We're going to go the whole nine yards and become a full prog band with 15-minute piano solos".Bellamy gave no indication as to when the 'Black Holes and Revelations' follow-up will arrive but the Q quote made it sound like the next record may surface as early as 2007.
Meanwhile, Muse continue to play to promote 'Black Holes and Revelations' and last played Saturday at the KROQ concert in Los Angeles.
The set-list was:
Knights of Cydonia
Hysteria
Assassin
New Born
Butterflies and Hurricanes
Map of the Problematic
Riff
Plug In Baby
Time is Running Out
Stockholm Syndrome
Australia will see Muse again in January on the Big Day Out.
