Madder Lake, one of the highlight of the Sunbury Festival in the early 70s, is getting back to play at this years Queenscliff Music Festival.
Madder Lake was one of the early success stories of Mushroom Records and were managed by a much younger Michael Gudinski at the time.Their first single ‘Goodbye Lollipop’ was a it in Victoria and was followed up with the album Stillpoint. The second single ‘12lb Toothbrush’ was a bigger hit, making the Top 40 nationally.
This will be the 12th Queenscliff Music Festival, held at the historic Victorian seaside town.
The first announcement also includes Howie Day, Josh Pyke, Kate Miller-Heidke, Jackson Jackson, The Audreys, Ross Wilson, Abbe May, The Bawdies, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingi, Geoff Achison, Tripod, Martin Martini and the Bone Palace Orchestra, The Josh Own Band, Julie O’Hara and Frankie Wants Out.
The Queenscliff Music Festival is on November 28-30.
