Liam Gallagher never planned to be a father.
The Oasis frontman - who has sons Lennon, eight, with ex-wife Patsy Kensit, seven-year-old Gene with wife Nicole Appleton, as well as a daughter Molly, 10, with Lisa Moorish - admits he was unprepared for parenthood but quickly realised his responsibility. He said: 'I didn’t always want to be a dad. Just wanted to get off my t*ts and do music but once you get your missus pregnant, you’ve got to step up to the plate.'
Despite his reluctance, Liam - who sends his sons to private school - insists family is the most important thing to him, and praised his own abilities as a parent.
He added to Britain’s The Times magazine: 'Family’s the most important thing. The kids are just the b*****ks. I enjoy their company more than some idiot in a band or some actor. That’s how I’ve changed.
'I’m the b*****ks at being a dad. I’m top. We have a lot of fun.
'I’m stricter than Nicole. I’m not Hitler, but they’re getting older, they make a mess, they tidy it up.'
