Check out the list of crap people actually paid money for at a James Brown auction last week.
Proving the old saying that “one man`s junk is another man`s treasure” came true at this public grab of Brown garbage.A medical bracelet worn by Brown in hospital earned $32,500. 10 pairs of shoes sold for $15,000 and hair dryer and 11 cans of hair product sold for $10,625.
Another package featuring 80 hair rollers and 11 cans of hair product sold for $5000.
Even Brown`s expired passport from 1988 fetched $7,500.
Fans took home 300 items of junk, um, I mean memorabilia, once belonging to the star.
The auction brought in $850,000 for the estate of James Brown.
Not all of it was junk. The top item was his black satin cape worn on stage. It fetched $47,500 and a type written poem from Muhammad Ali to Brown sold for $25,000.
