The class of 2012 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a varied list and so are the presenters. Yet, there is nothing about who will be presenting Guns & Roses with their award.
Here is the list of presenters with their allocated inductees.
- Chuck D of Public Enemy -Beastie Boys
- Chris Rock - Red Hot Chili Peppers
- Steven Van Zandt- The Small Faces/ The Faces
- John Mellencamp - Donovan
- Bette Midler - Laura Nyro
- Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill - Freddie King
- Carole King - Don Kirshner ( being awared the non performer award the Ahmet Ertegun Award)
- Robbie Robertson (The Band) - Cosimo Matassa, Tom Dowd, Glyn Johns ( All producers and receiving the Award for Musical Excellence)
- Smokey Robinson - The Miracles, along with a quintet of other groups whose frontmen already have been inducted into the Hall: The Famous Flames(James Brown), The Crickets (Buddy Holly), The Comets(Bill Haley), The Midnighters (Hank Ballard) and The Blue Caps(Gene Vincent).
As you can see, no one has been allocated to present to Guns and Roses. I would like to see Clint Eastwood do it in remembrance of the Gunners uncredited cameo on the Dirty Harry flick "The Dead Pool." Plus, Clint Eastwood is the coolest customer to do the job and a musician in his own right.......
