Persistent rumours that David Bowie was going to reactive himself for the forthcoming movie 'Maltazard' have been quashed at this official website.
Davidbowie.com reports that there will be "no Bowie in the upcoming Maltazard film" and add that if the story surfaces again to ignore it.The movie is listed as featuring guest roles from Madonna, Snoop Dogg and Mia Farrow but sites such as Yahoo Movies have Bowie incorrectly listed in the credits as the voice of Maltazard.
'Arthur and the Vengeance of Maltazard' is due for release in 2009.
It is currently in production in France under the direction of Luc Besson.
Besson started work on the movie in 2006, which was when the Bowie rumours surfaced, and two years later have still not gone away.
The movie is based on the series of children's books which started with 'Arthur and the Minimoys' in 2003.
It is being called "the next Harry Potter".
