Leona Lewis has appeared as the current front-runner to record the theme for the next James Bond movie 'Quantum of Solace'.
Talk surfaced during the week that Lewis was the new contender, putting to an end hopes for Amy Winehouse to do the chore.Winehouse had been the favourite for the race but her recent problems have made the Bond producers uncomfortable about using her.
Producer Mark Ronson had confirmed that he had been in the studio with Winehouse and that they had demoed a song for consideration as a Bond theme.
Leona Lewis was the 2006 winner of 'The X Factor' in the UK.
Her single 'Bleeding Love' became the biggest-selling single in the UK last year and also made it to number one in the USA.
She has the right profile on both sides of the pond to be considered for the job.
The last James Bond theme song for 'Casino Royale' was 'You Know My Name', recorded by Chris Cornell.
