Lady Gaga is reported to be in the running to sing the theme for the next James Bond movie.
The 23rd Bond movie is in pre-production stages so it is unlikely there has been a lot of series discussion for the coveted theme role performer but the profile of Lady Gaga would fit the format of who they usually consider.The movie is yet to be named but it will be released sometime in 20111.
‘Quantum of Solace’, the previous Bond film featured the theme song ‘Another Way To Die’ by Jack White and Alicia Keyes.
Chris Cornell sang ‘You Know My Name’ for ‘Casino Royale’ in 2006 while Madonna performed the theme song for ‘Die Another Day’ in 2002.
Famous Bond themes over the years include ‘Live and Let Die’ by Paul and Linda McCartney, ‘Goldeneye’ by Tina Turner, ‘Nobody Does It Better’ by Carly Simon, ‘Thunderball’ by Tom Jones, ‘Goldfinger’ by Shirley Bassey and ‘A View To A Kill’ by Duran Duran.
