Splendour in the Grass has announced it's final line up with a few nice surprises as well as a few of the usual suspects.
One of the true highlights of the whole festival promises to be San Diego's amazing Delta Spirit, or those Texan cult heroes The Polyphonic Spree.Other international additions include some of the most mind-capturing pop music you'll ever hear with New Young Pony Club, Canadian kids Tokyo Police Club and the uber-cool Lyrics Born.
Australian art-rock will be well recognised with performances by Melbourne band The Drones, who are currently working on their highly anticipated fourth album and former Go-Betweens member Robert Forster.
Little Red and The Galvatrons will give different takes on that wonderful style we call rock 'n' roll and Even will inject a touch of guitar pop.
If at this point you're thinking "Gee, maybe I will head up to Byron Bay for two days of fun in the sun (or more likely pouring rain)," well, it's too late. The festival sold out faster than your broadband can log onto Suicide Girls.
For those of us lucky enough to be going (yep, I'm excited, can you tell?), the festival is at Belongil Fields, Byron Bay on August 2 and 3.
