That new DJ Spankox Elvis remix of 'Baby Lets Play House' is out today.
The original Presley version was recorded in 1955. Elvis recorded the original at Sun Studios in Memphis. The recordings at that time captured Elvis as an unknown, emerging artist before he had signed with RCA Records. The song is the third time ever that an Elvis song has been given approval for a remix from the Presley estate. "Anytime Elvis' master recordings are altered, we take a special interest to make sure the new sound is the right sound. Elvis was a pioneer who broke the mold and barriers with his music, this remix does just that with a fresh approach to an Elvis classic," said Jack Soden, CEO of Elvis Presley Enterprises.
The other two were 'A Little Less Conversation' by Junkie XL in 2002 and 'Rubberneckin' by Paul Oakenfold in 2003.
A video for the song will feature footage from an April 1956 performance by Elvis on the Dorsey Brothers Stage Show.
