The McClymonts and Crowded House have taken away early ARIA Awards for Best Country Album and Best Adult Contemporary Album in the lead up to the official awards this Sunday Night.
The McClymonts, regular winners at the Country Music Awards, have won their first ever ARIA for Best Country Album for their latest album ‘Wrapped Up Good’. The album was produced in Nashville with Taylor Swift producer Nathan Chapman.
Crowded House won Best Adult Contemporary Album for ‘Intriguer’, a mighty feat about being disqualified as an Australian band by ARIA earlier this year by being reinstated after the Undercover exposure. (For the record, the original three piece Crowded House formed in Melbourne with two Australians (Paul Hester and Nick Seymour) and ex-pat Kiwi at the time Neil Finn, who was living in Melbourne then).
Congrats also to Chris Taylor & Andrew Hansen who won Best Comedy Album for ‘The Blow Parade’.
The ARIA Awards will happen this Sunday night at the Sydney Opera House.
