Mogwai are gearing up to release a new EP entitled 'Batcat', with three songs, one of which features psychedelic rock god Rocky Erickson on vocals.
Erickson sings on the EP's third track 'Devil Rides'.Erickson, who refused to play music for twenty years, has been on the mend over the past five or so years, playing to bigger and bigger crowds across America and gaining more and more respect as the younger generation gets switched on to his amazing contributions to music.
The other two tracks on the EP are 'Batcat' and the rather bluntly titled 'Stupid Prick Gets Chased By The Police And Loses His Slut Girlfriend'.
The EP will be available on September 8 in the UK (CD, 12" and digital) and September 9 in the US (12" and digital only).
Their next album, 'The Hawk Is Howling' will be released at the end of September.
