Just days after being arrested for speeding, rapper DMX was charged again on Friday, this time for cruelty to animals in Arizona.
DMX, real name Earl Simmons, was found with five pit bull pups in his Scottsdale home.Last year, authorities confiscated 12 pit bulls at the house. Three carcasses where also found buried on the property. One of the dogs had been burned.
While no arrest was made last August, this time the law acted and BMX was charged with seven misdemeanour animal cruelty charges.
He was also charged with four felony drug possession charges after police found drugs and weapons at the home.
DMX was first charged with an animal cruelty offence in 1999. The charges at that time were dismissed.
