Brisbane's The Boat People have joined the ranks of The Vines, Josh Pike and The Mess Hall by signing a publishing deal with Ivy League.
Their new album 'Chandeliers' is being polished off for release soon and the Boat People will also make their way to the UK for a number of dates including an appearance on the Great Escape festival in Brighton.The festival also features Australia's Operator Please, as well as The Young Knives, Vampire Weekend and We Are Wolves.
Ivy League's Andy Cassell says that he has being eyeing off the band for a while. "The Boat People have been on our radar for quite sometime thanks to great songs like "Unsettle My Heart" and "Tell Someone Who Cares", we're thrilled to welcome them aboard the good ship Ivy League."
'Unsettle My Heart' has also caught the ear of Nic Harcourt at KCRW in the USA.
