How low can Rove go in 2008? The latest insult to the music industry is the promotion of Irish pop star as 'Delta's Man'.
McFadden is a much bigger star globally than Delta Goodrem and even in Australia has had more hits that his girlfriend pop star, yet the Rove program has chosen to describe him in those two words ... 'Delta's Man'.The branding is an insult to Brian as an artist and shows the typical contempt that shows like Rove have for the music industry.
It would be interesting to see Rove's reaction if he was promoted somewhere as 'Belinda Widower'. The disrespect is exactly the same.
Westlife had 14 number one singles in the UK and in that market come in third behind Elvis and The Beatles for most number one hits.
With McFadden, Westlife sold more than 30 million album. That is more than 10 times the amount that Delta has achieved.
Westlife with Brian have sold out arenas worldwide. Delta's one and only tour played mostly to less than capacity houses.
Brian went solo in 2004. His first solo single 'Real To Me' was also a number one hit.
Delta Goodrem was a star in Australia on the strength of her first album but the two subsequent albums have failed to have the same impact. She was recently dropped by Sony-BMG in the USA.
McFadden is about to release his second solo album 'Set In Stone'.
