Brian McFadden insists that he “wasn’t arrested”, “didn’t smoke” and was not “smashed and abusive” negating news reports earlier today saying he threw a tantrum on-board the Virgin flight from Los Angeles to Sydney this morning.
McFadden twittered “wasn’t arrested! Didn’t smoke on the flight. And virgin staff were very nice. I did have a few drinks but I was not smashed and abusive”.
He then added, “if reports were true then I would have been arrested, fined and worst banned from my favorite airline v Australia. Storm in a tea cup.”
So what happened? A call into Melbourne radio station 3AW from a passenger claimed McFadden stormed from his business class seat into economy and abused passengers in a drunken rage.
While McFadden denies the incident he was apparently detained and questioned by Federal Police after the plane landed in Sydney.
He was later released. Not charged were made.
