Unknown Is The Richest Musician In The World

The lead singer of unknown UK-based act Brothermandude is arguably the richest musician in the world.

It's not Paul McCartney, and certainly not Michael Jackson. Not even the King is counting the dollars as much as Shake, the lead singer of groove rock band Brothermandude. UK's Channel 4 reports that Shake is not only a competent singer, but second in line to the throne of the Kingdom Of Bahrain.

The small island nation in the Persian Gulf, which Michael Jackson has apparently made his new residence, can attribute its wealth to the discovery vast oil resources. Channel Four reports that Shake's personal fortune runs into the billions of dollars (although maybe that's in Bahraini Dinars).

But can the princely singer add to his bank account through his music? Well, Brothermandude's music is effervescent and very modern groove rock. Singer/songwriter Shake backs players who have supported everyone from Massive Attack to Babyshambles (according to their website).

The band have completed their debut album and play selected dates in the UK in May and are currently planning to tour the US supporting UK indie act Starsailor. And we're guessing they won't be doing it in a broken-down van.
