Yoko Ono will present 'Touch Me', an interactive exhibition of paintings, film, conceptual photography and sculptures at New York's Galerie Lelong next month.
The 'Touch Me' exhibition will be one of Yoko's first in New York since 2003.The central message of 'Touch Me' is for women to rethink the personal connection of the current situations they face.
The centerpiece of the exhibition will be a large canvas covering the entire width of the gallery. There will be cuts in the canvas and visitors will be invited to stick body parts through the holes.
Yoko sees the act will bring out elements of isolation, exposure, vulnerability and defiance.
At film of a Yoko performance from 1965 will also feature at the exhibition.
The exhibition will start on April 18 and run through until May 31 between 10am and 6pm Tuesday to Saturdays.
