Texan superstar Emilio Navaira is fighting for his life today after a bus crash near Houston on Sunday.
Navaira was traveling on his tour bus when it collided with two vehicles on Highway 59 on the weekend.8 people have been injured in the accident. Navaira is in a critical condition after suffering serious head injuries. Doctors have removed a blood clot from his brain following the accident.
The 45 year old singer is being held in intensive care while he undergoes observation.
Navaira is a Grammy Award winning singer songwriter and one of the most successful acts to chart in both the United States and Mexico.
Emilio has had 10 singles chart in the US Billboard Hot 100 Latin tracks chart and 6 singles hit the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.
He had his first US hit with 'It's Not The End of the World' in 1995.
His songs have been used in television commercials for Coca-Cola and Wrangler jeans.
Navaira had performed on Saturday night in Houston. He is being cared for at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in downtown Houston.
