Travis Barker, the former drummer of Blink-182 and current member of +44, and DJ AM (Michael Goldstein) have been critically injured in a plane crash that has killed four people in South Carolina.
Barker and Goldstein is suffering extensive burns from the crash and his condition is described as serious.The Learjet he was travelling in left Columbia Metropolitan Airport at 11:53pm Friday. Barker has performed that night at a free outdoor concert with DJ AM as TRVSDJ-AM. They were heading home to California in the plane when it crashed upon take-off. Goldstein is also in a serious condition.
Killed were the pilot and co-pilot, and Chris Barker, 29, of Studio City and Charles Still, 25, from Los Angeles.
Barker and Goldstein were thrown from the plane in the crash but the other four were trapped inside.
Witnesses describe the plane overrunning the runway after seeing sparks coming from one of the engines. It crashed through a fence and onto the roadway. There was an explosion on impact.
Barker and Goldstein had opened the show on Friday. They were billed as TRVSDJ-AM. Gavin DeGraw and Perry Farrell also played at the gig. DeGraw and Farrell were not on the plane.
