The Eagles Take The Long Road Into London

The Eagles have started their European tour with the first show in London on March 20th.

The tour is giving fans their first real taste of 'The Long Road Out of Eden' album live.

The setlist for the first show featured nine tracks from 'Eden' including an amazing version of the epic 10 minute title track which live features Joe Walsh's guitar sparing with Don Henley's voice like they are competing at an Olympic event.

The setlist has been cleverly placed right from the start to highlight not only the 'Eden' album but the individual members of the band. Glenn Frey is most prominent on the opening song 'How Long'. Henley's 'Busy Being Fabulous' follows, then Timothy B. Schmit's 'I Don't Want To Hear Anymore' and Joe Walsh's 'Guilty of the Crime'.

Timothy gave a shout-out to Paul Carrack when he sang 'Love Will Keep Us Alive'. Carrack, who wrote the song, was in the audience.

'Witchy Women', which was absent from 'Farewell 1' is back in the setlist. The remainder of the show was all about giving the fans what they wanted ... the hits.

The visuals are all new for this tour. The funniest one is the backdrop for Henley's 'Dirty Laundry'. It features real tabloid headlines for the first part but ends with the headlines 'Monkey Sues Joe Walsh', Timothy B. Schmit to star in Harry Potter 8', Glenn Frey wins Masters' and 'Don Henley Solves Global Warming'.
