Dallas Crane's Dave Larkin is working on a solo album. Expect the Larkin solo sound to fit into that alt-country category.
Dave showcased his new solo sound in front of a borrowed crowd at the Ray Davies gig in Melbourne last night. He was Ray's special guest.The set opened with the Dallas Crane song 'Sit On My Knee' and featured covers of 'Born To Run' and 'Dark Side of the Street'.
Larkin threw in a few solo songs for good measure to road-test in front of the crowd.
Meanwhile, Dallas Crane aren't exactly sitting 2008 out. That's them on the soundtrack to the new Mitsubishi Triton TV ad. Their song 'No Through Road' was licensed for the commercial.
