Willie Nelson has recorded an album with Ryan Adams' band The Cardinals.
The album 'Songbird' was produced by Adams and will be released on Lost Highway Records on October 31.The title track is a cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'Songbird'. Nelson also covers Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah', Gram Parsons '$1000 Wedding' and Jerry Garcia's 'Stella Blue'.
Adams has written 'Blue Hotel' for Nelson. He also arranged 'Amazing Grace' for the sessions.
Nelson has redone his own 'Sad Songs and Waltzs' (originally from Shotgun Willie, and 'We Don't Run' (originally from Spirit'.
