Puerto Rican singer Jose Feliciano is heading to Australia in April, with just a few dates announced so far.
The singer, who is blind from birth, made his name with versions of songs like 'Light My Fire' and 'Ain't No Sunshine'.In 1968, when he was asked to perform a version of the Star Spangled Banner at the World Series at Tiger Stadium in Detroit, he strummed it and made it his own. The controversy from his version of the anthem caused record labels to drop him and radio stations not to play him.
That version, however, opened the door for countless other interpretations of the anthem, probably most famously Jimi Hendrix's electrifying version which he performed at Woodstock.
