Take any hip-hop tour announcement with a grain of salt, but it seems Wu-Tang Clan are set to tour Australia.
The posters are on the hoardings, the Facebook page is up, Staten Island hip-hop legends Wu-Tang Clan are (possibly) coming to Australia.
Hip-hop tours in Australia are notoriously fraught with disaster, and full Wu-Tang Clan appearances (R.I.P. ODB) are the same, but a Facebook page put up a week ago seems as legit as anything.
A couple of days ago the mods posted: “1500 Likes already!? We didn't expect to hit this until next week! I guess we better let you know the tour is 100% real, paid & locked in! We're just finalizing sponsors & media partners. An official announcement will be released in less than 2 weeks. By being a fan of the official fan page you'll be the first to know everything! Spread the word =)”
The www.wutangtour.com.au address on posters is currently redirecting to the Facebook page, possibly only because the promoters seem to have been taken unawares by the popularity of the announcement, the Facebook page already getting four and a half thousand likes.
Wu-Tang Clan are very active on Facebook, recently announcing studio time and have booked the US Wu Rebirth Tour in December and January.
