She may not have been able to attend the Grammy Awards this year but Amy Winehouse is the star of the show. A shocked Amy held back tears as she accepted the award for Record of the Year from 'Rehab'.
Clutching her mother, Amy thanked her parents from a London studio.For the award, she beat Beyonce with 'Irreplaceable', Foo Fighters 'The Pretender', Rihanna and Jay-Z for 'Umbrella' and Justin Timberlake for 'What Goes Around ... Comes Around'.
Amy Winehouse had planned to attend the awards but had her Visa denied by US Customs because of her drug convictions. By the time the ruling was over-turned on Friday, it was too late for Amy and band to get to the USA for rehearsals.
Amy also won awards for 'Song of the Year', 'Best New Artist', 'Best Female Pop Performance' and 'Best Pop Vocal Album'.
Producer Mark Ronson won Best Non-Classical Producer of the Year for his work on the album.
