India's Film Certification Board has censored the clip for Paris Hilton's debut single 'Stars Are Blind'.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the country's Central Board of Film Certification has slapped an "Adult" certification for the video meaning it can't be screened on any free-to-air television channel, effectively banning the clip.Hilton's local label EMI Virgin India said that they had even sent an edited version of the clip to the board, but they refused it, saying it had "sexual connotations". It's amazing that any video clips would get onto Indian television if that judgement is enough to get them banned.
EMI Virgin marketing manager Kaveri Khullar said, "To the best of our knowledge, there are no rules yet regarding censorship on the 'Net" so the label will market her album through the promotional website of a shampoo company who are sponsoring it.
