Gnarls Barkley's new single 'Run' will not be seen as it was originally intended on British television, but not because of nudity, or drug use or whatever else overly cautious and paranoid citizens with nothing better to do with their withering life usually complain about.
No, 'Run' will not be seen on British TV due to it failing what's called the "Harding Test", which tests whether content to be broadcast on TV could cause seizures in people suffering epilepsy. This ban only affects the clip in the U.K., where a re-edited version of the video will be shown. In the rest of the world, if you're one of those paranoid types, you might want to avert your eyes from everything for a while, because no doubt it's going to be played a lot.
The video features Justin Timberlake playing a TV show host of a show where the band is performing amongst some wild hypnotic swirling patterns and lots of flashing colours. The song itself is a high energy modern-day hark back to the stompin' soul numbers of the late 60s.
It's taken from the album 'The Odd Couple', which will be released in April.
