American R&B singer Erykah Badu was scheduled to perform in Malaysia today (Wednesday). However has been banned due to her unsuitability for Muslim audiences.
A committee made up of police and Islamic policy officials banned the performance according to NY Daily News based on a photo published of Badu (on Monday) with the Arabic spelling of Allah on her shoulder in the widely read Malaysian daily "The Star". Of the photo, Information Minister Rais Yatim claimed it was “an insult to Islam and a very serious offense.”
The moral of the story is, " Don't go to Muslim countries with the word "Allah" written anywhere on your person". They don't like it.
