Warner Music has offered $25 million for the assets of bankrupt Death Row Records.
The catalogue features the works of Dr. Dre, 2PAC and Snoop Dogg.The Death Row assets include the rights to the recordings, music videos, master copies of the recordings and merchandising rights.
Death Row owner Marion 'Suge' Knight has asked US Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles to approve the bidding procedure at a hearing on February 26th.
Bidders must submit a bid by April 11 to go to auction on April 24. Final approval for the catalogue will be given in May 12.
New bidders must now exceed the Warner offer by $1 million to get into the game.
Death Row Records went bankrupt following Suge Knight's stints in prison. The company could not operate without him in control.
