R.E.M. has announced the start of a North American tour with dates starting in Vancouver in May.
The tour will wrap up a month later in Atlanta.Modest Mouse and The National will open for the band.
R.E.M. will release their 14th album 'Accelerate' on April 1st in the USA and March 31st in the rest of the world.
They will also launch the album with a showcase gig at SxSW in March.
