‘Lifes Rich Pageant’, the 4th album by R.E.M., will be released as a deluxe edition to mark its 25th anniversary.
The album was recorded between April and May,1986 at John Mellencamp’s Belmont Mall Studios in Indiana and produced by Don Gehman.
Singles from the album were ‘Fall On Me’ and ‘Superman’. It became the first R.E.M. album to go Gold.
The deluxe edition of ‘Lifes Rich Pageant’ will include a bonus disc of previously unreleased material titled ‘The Athens Demos’. It will feature 19 songs including the 12 that made the final album. One of the tracks, ‘Wait, has never fore been released but has made its way to bootleg albums over the years.
EMI will release ‘Lifes Rich Pageant’ deluxe edition will be released in June.
