Doors keyboard player Ray Manzarek has recorded his all-time favorite Doors song 'Riders On The Storm' with slide guitarist Roy Rogers.
The track will appear on the instrumental album 'Ballads Before The Rain'. It also features 'Crystal Ship', another Doors' song.'Ballads Before The Rain' features songs by both Manzarek and Rogers.
Rogers has two Grammy nominations to his name and has produced John Lee Hooker and Ramblin' Jack Elliott.
The pair took to the stage last week in Redwood City, California to perform the album live.
As well as the two Doors tracks on the album, there are seven other originals.
'Ballads Before The rain' will be released on Friday Music through the Warner imprint Ryko in the USA, by Universal in Canada and through Pinnacle Entertainment in other territories.
