Van Morrison's next album 'Keep It Simple' will be a homage to his influences from jazz, blues, folk, Celtic, country, soul and gospel.
'Keep It Simple' is Morrison's first album sine his country covers record 'Pay The Devil' from 2006 and his last album of completely original material since 2003's 'What's Wrong With This Picture'. In 2005, he released 'Magic Time' that had a few covers.'Keep It Simple' will be released on Universal's Lost Highway label. It will be Morrison's 33rd studio album.
'Keep It Simple' will feature all new Morrison compositions.
It bypasses the brassy sound of previous Morrison albums and will have a stripped back sound.
Songs for the album include 'Soul', 'Entrainment', 'Song Of Home' and 'How Can A Poor Boy' as well as the title track.
'Keep It Simple' will be released on March 11.
