This is the stuff dreams are made of. Perth band The Chevelles have teamed up with Bruce Springsteens right hand man on guitar/mandolin Steve Van Zandt of the E- Street Band to pen the fabulous tune "Bettie Page."
As their name suggests The Chevelles are known for channeling the sounds of the 60's, so it's no surprise that Little Stevie who is obsessed with 60's garage music has teamed up with The Chevelles guitarist/vocalist Duane Smith to write a song.
The track " Bettie Page" is the first release from The Chevelles in a series of releases that will be launched worldwide over the next 12 months by their New York based label Wicked Cool Records. The song has
already been featured as a "Coolest Song In The World" on The Underground Garage, Van Zandt's radio show, which is heard in 190 countries and recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary. The single also features 60's girl group backing vocals by Boston's own Jenny Dee and the Delinquents.
The Chevelles take their rock and roll to Europe and the USA in early 2013. With the sonic assistance of The Volcanics and numerous GoGo Girls The Chevelles will launch the video single "Bettie Page" on Friday the 17th August at Devilles Pad, Northbridge WA. $10 door charge after 8:00pm
