Music legend Stephen Stills is said to be fine spirits after undergoing surgery for prostate cancer in Los Angeles today.
On December 19, just after returning from his Australian tour with Crosby, Stills & Nash, fellow bandmate Graham Nash broke the news of the disease on Larry King's CNN talk-show.Nash was a guest on the show to pay tribute to the late Dan Fogelberg, who had died of prostate cancer that week, when he let slip that Stills was also diagnosed with the cancer.
Nash told King in a matter of fact manner "Unlike Danny, who left it too long to be seriously checked, Stephen found his at an early stage."
Stills wife Kristen says all went well with the operation. "Stephen's procedure went remarkably well and he couldn't be better. He will be home by noon tomorrow and the pain will be minimal," she said.
Stephen is planning to attend the Sundance Film Festival in Utah on January 25th for the world premiere of the move 'CSNY/D??jà Vu' which documented the 2006 Crosby, Still, Nash & Young Freedom of Speech tour.
