Former Beatle Paul McCartney is "heartbroken" about the way things have turned out after his divorce from former glamour model Heather Mills.
The singer, whose simple outlook on love has been clearly expressed through songs like 'Silly Love Songs' and 'Can't Buy Me Love', has been embroiled in a complicated and increasingly messy divorce.www.entertainmentwise.com reports that a friend was quoted as saying "Paul has been left heartbroken by everything that has happened. He is not angry or bitter or full of rage. It's much, much sadder than that. He is upset, confused and lonely."
In other McCartney news, he has sent a letter to fans attending the Toronto Beatles Convention, which was held on the 40th anniversary of the last concert the band played there.
He welcomed fans in what is the first time he has publicly acknowledged a Beatles convention. In the letter he said he wished he could attend.
