Lobby Loyde's old band the Wild Cherries will reform for a benefit concert for the guitar legend.
The Australian music industry will rally for Loyde, who was diagnosed with lung cancer.Loyde was guitarist for The Wild Cherries from 1967 but left to join The Aztecs before reforming Wild Cherries as a three piece in 1971.
Also added to the line-up, Wendy Saddington. Wendy was Australia's premiere blues and soul singer in the late 60s and through-out the 70s.
The Lobby Loyde benefit concert will be hosted by Jack Thompson, Michael Chugg, Red Symons and Billy Thorpe.
The line-up for the show will include The Aztecs, Spectrum, Coloured Balls, Chain, Brain Cadd, Jimmy Barnes, Painters & Dockers, Broderick Smith, Blackfeather, Madder Lake, Rose Tattoo, Ian Rilen and the Love Addicts, Sarah McLeod, Russell Morris and the Masters Apprentices.
The show will take place on August 29 at the Palace in St Kilda in Melbourne.
