Aussie promoter Michael Chugg has been nominated as International Promoter of the Year for the forthcoming Pollstar Concert Industry Awards.
"It's an honour to be acknowledged by respected industry peers at this peak international level", Chugg said in a statement. "This nomination is testament to the amazing team of talented people we have working here at Chugg Entertainment. I'm enormously proud of the hard work and dedication shown by everyone here on a daily basis. The team and the individuals are growing each day along with the business, which is a huge thrill to watch."Earlier this year, Chugg won the 'Best Promoter' award at the International Live Music Conference in London.
Chugg has turned acts like Radiohead, Robbie Williams and Ray Charles over the years.
His current tours include Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne, Brooks & Dunn and Santana.
Chugg is also behind Byron Bay Bluesfest, West Coast Blues and Roots Festival, Southern Roots Festival, Point Nepean: A Music Experience, CMC Rocks the Snowys and the St Jeromes Laneway Festival - all scheduled for the first quarter of 2008.
The International Promoter of the Year award will be announced in February in Los Angeles.
