After 11 years and 8 months on radio, Best of the Brat will finish on Triple R.
The Melbourne based show has been a much loved weekly rooting session on the community radio station. Each week, presenters Pauly P, Holly C and Glenny G have been counting down the best rooting songs from artists such as The White Stripes, The Strokes and Kings of Leon.
The program will come to a grinding halt on December 18 with a show affectionately titled 'The Last Root'.
The show will be broadcast live from Melbourne's The Tote. Special guests for the night will be Digger & The Pussycats.
The show is expected to feature tapes from the last 11 years from the show as well as the best rooting songs of all time.
The show first aired one month after John Howard took hold of Australia and will end one month after his demise.
The Best of the Brat earned its reputation as "the most immature show on Australian radio".
Unlike Lawsy's finale show, the team will not drive off in a convertible Rolls Royce, not will they have a golden microphone to turn off at the end of the show.
In a farewell statement, the team says "Holly C, Pauly P and Glenny G would like to use this media release to thank Triple R for being their spiritual home, the rooters for often telling us more than they'd like to, all the segment guests, silent producers and of course the listener".
