Australia's indie folk and country rock titans team up at Sydney's Domain in October for the Legs 11 breast cancer benefit.
The twilight show, slated for October 27, will be a truly unique event. Australia's latest, greatest pairing of musical minds, You Am I's Tim Rogers and The Cruel Sea's Tex Perkins, are currently touring through Europe and the US but will bring the heartbreaking acoustic odes from their album 'My Better Half' to the stage with The Sydney Youth Orchestra.Supporting are the cream of Australia's wistful indie brigade. Dreamy chanteuse Sarah Blasko is fresh off recording her second album, as are Perth quartet Little Birdy, led by Luke Steele's (Sleepy Jackson) sister Katy. Also appearing are folk brigade Clare Bowditch And The Feeding Set and the new acoustic project for Jebediah's Kevin Mitchell under the pseudonym Bob Evans.
The sophisticated show will also include gourmet food stalls for listeners to sample while sitting in the stunning surrounds of the Domain.
Leg 11 will benefit the vital ongoing research of National Breast Cancer Foundation. Tickets go on sale through www.legseleven.com.au, Ox Tix and Red Eye Records on September 1.
