Jimmy Barnes has had to postpone next Friday’s show due to Steve Prestwich’s funeral.
Jimmy Barnes and Noiseworks were set to do a double-bill at Newcastle Panthers club on Friday January 28.
The show has been rescheduled to Thursday April 21, as the Friday show now clashes with the funeral of Cold Chisel drummer Steve Prestwich.
Prestwich, the man behind the kit from Chisel’s very beginnings and writer of ‘When The War Is Over’ among other Aussie classics, passed away from a brain tumour on Sunday January 16.
Barnes said in a statement that he hope fans understand the need for the rescheduling, and we’re sure they will.
Tickets purchased for the January 28 show are still valid for the April 21 show, but if anyone wants to get a refund, they can do so before February 28 at their original place of purchase.
As a bonus, fans who show up with the original tickets will go into the running to win one of ten Barnesy prize packs.
