Spice Girls comeback single 'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)' is officially a flop in the UK.
Acceptance of the new single has been less than impressive with the title selling just 4,907 units in the first week. The single had a lacklustre debut at number 20 in the British Chart this week, leading BBC 1 to drop it back to low rotation of just one play per day.
'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)' is a strange choice of single. For starters, it is a ballad. Had Spice Girls released their other new song, the uptempo 'Voodoo' first, then they may have had a greater impact.
Spice Girls kick off their world tour in Vancouver, Canada on December 2nd.
