Described by CNN at SXSW this year as "artists to watch" Eyes Lips Eyes will release the E.P "What You Want (If You Want)" on August 21st through Roll Call Records/ILG. If the first track released "Don't Blow It" is any indication you are in for a treat.
Eyes Lips Eyes has been building a steady following since their debut project Blue Red. From July 2010 – July 2011 Eyes Lips Eyes wrote, recorded and released direct to fans, one single, one B-side and one video per month all from the confines of their industrial China Town loft in Los Angeles. Could they be the Willy Wonkers of DIY music? The treats they produce out of their loft nicknamed " The Cube" are just as delicious and magic as anything Wonker could produce.
These guys get compared to Talking Heads quite a bit, however their joyous approach to making music filled with glorious riffs and energetic vocals indicate there is a little more to these guys than Talking Heads stylings.
Eyes Lips Eyes was formed in the midst of Provo's dance party scene, which shaped their live show
into the high-energy, garbage can-banging performances they have become known for. In a few short years, they have performed all over the country, sharing the stage with acts like Modest Mouse, Spoon, The
Raconteurs and more.
