James Brown Estate Challenged

73 year old Velma Warren Brown has made a claim to the estate of soul music legend James Brown.

The woman, a former wife of Brown, claims that she never divorced the star.

James and Velma married in 1953 and court documents proved that the marriage ended in divorce in 1969..

Velma claims there was never a divorce.

Velma and James Brown had three children during their marriage.

James Brown died on Christmas Day 2006.
